No need to teach HR says CJ Audio

Chief Justice Mohan Peiris says no one in Sri Lanka needs to be taught human rights as all are born with it.Speaking at the opening of a new court in Anuradhapura today to deal with pending cases of several former LTTE detainees, the Chief Justice said that the Lessons Learned and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) was not created owing to international pressure. Peiris said that the LLRC was mandated on the concept of restorative justice in contrast to retributive justice.
